New York City families with children born in 2016 & 2017 can now apply between February and April 24 2020

3-K and Pre-K offers for the 2020-2021 school year are available to view in If you applied to pre-K by the March 18 application deadline, you can view your offer letter online; your letter was also mailed to you. This offer letter includes the following: 

  • Your child's pre-K offer

  • Any programs where your child has been waitlisted—your child will automatically be added to the waitlist of any program that you placed higher on the application than the program where you received an offer. 

Interpretation services are available in more than 200 languages for over-the-phone and in-person application submissions. You can ask questions and request information about admissions in any language when you call or go to a Family Welcome Center.

Are you an individual with a visual impairment? If so, we can send you a copy of the Pre-K Application in braille or large print by mail. Just email with your request and your mailing address. If you don't need the application in braille or large print, apply using the methods above or see the Pre-K Directory for a paper copy of the application.



3-K & Pre-K runs five days per week from September to June. Most 3-K and pre-K options are on a full-day schedule (6 hours and 20 minutes). Some half-day (2 hours and 30 minutes) options are also available. All programs offer research-based and developmentally appropriate instruction. Click on the Pre-K registration check list below!!
